A DIY Quote Print is the perfect decor for the extra special wall space above your bed!
This wall space over your bed can be an intimidating space to fill. This is because… 1. You really want it to be something that speaks to you and anyone else sleeping in that room. 2. It has to be big enough to fill the space. 3. Large wall art is very expensive.
This Custom-Sized DIY Quote Print with Bob Marley’s wise song lyrics, “One love, One heart, Let’s get together and feel alright” is the perfect solution to all 3 problems!
These specific song lyrics have extra meaning to us because One Love was one of our wedding songs. It was playing while we all cheerfully walked out of the ceremony. It perfectly set the tone for the rest of the days outdoor festivities… love, laughter, connection, fun together! …And because we have the coolest peeps ever as friends and family, the night hit on every one of those- such a fun night!
If One Love song lyrics hit the spot for you as well you will get this free printable emailed to you when you sign up for my email newsletter. You will see the place to subscribe below this post. (If you’re already subscribed you will be sent this file as well!)
The Empty Frame for the DIY Quote Print
I had found this huge frame on clearance at Hobby Lobby and picked it up for that empty spot above our bed. I got it at least a year before I actually got around to having the DIY Quote- printed. Hahaha, thats just how some of these things go! Heres a beautiful family selfie featuring the empty frame-
Even empty it made the room feel more finished than so much empty wall above our bed. If you don’t have a clearance bargain frame on hand, you can make one for under $10 by buying some pieces of trim from Home Depot- cutting, painting and attaching.
Pricing for a DIY Quote Print
When I finally got this printed at Staples I had to call rather than doing it on their website because it is a custom size- not one of the blueprint sizes offered on their website. I had it printed to match the size frame I found which is 33″x61″. It was $9.09 to have this print done at Staples. I would do this again all day long, no brainer even on a super strict budget!!
DIY Quote Print Paper
Now this print is on regular paper- not thick poster paper because that would have been over $70….nope, not necessary! It works for us- we love it! If you need a super “finished” look you will probably want something over the top of it like glass or plexiglass so you should find a traditional frame. Ours is just paper open to the air.
How to Hang the DIY Quote Print on the Wall
Mine quote print is attached in the sophisticated manner of hot glue. I had my hubby hold it up in place and then hot glued around the edges. Wham-bam- it was up and secure in minutes. We hung it 4 months ago and its still holding perfect, and looking as good as the day we hung it!
Have fun and get creative with your DIY Quote Print. Search your memory bank (Just made me think of an Outkast song- anyone with me?) for some special song lyrics that mean a little something extra to you. Since a DIY Quote Print is only $10, you can replace these song lyrics as often as you find new song lyrics as inspiration along the way.
