Its already another Holiday break… ahhh, I’m still recovering (getting the house back to square one) after Spring Break. Now the kiddos have a long weekend off for Easter! Quick, time to figure out a DIY Easter Craft so we can pause the “to-do’s” and hang together.
What is a fun DIY Easter Craft for everyone? Painting! Our Easter painting projects include- plastic eggs, animal figure planters, and little porcelain dishes. Painting is always fun to do together. Everyone loves grabbing a paintbrush and chatting and working together. It is glorious when the adults like the family activity as much as the kids do!
Items for Easter Painting Spread:
I got 24 little tubes of Acrylic paint from Michaels for under $15 (Michael’s always has a coupon on their website you can pull up on your phone, if your item is not on sale). Plastic eggs & new paintbrushes, for the detail work on these little eggs ($10 for both from Michael’s). The llama, rhino, & elephant planters & porcelain dishes were finds from the Dollar Spot at Target.
Family Painting Party Set Up:
The table is wrapped in craft paper, because “careful” is not fun! All the tubes of acrylic paints are laid out in Rainbow order, because rainbows make everything prettier. There is a surprise Cadbury Cream Egg in each of the egg cartons- because a sweet treat makes everything more special. Background music, is a must if you can remember to put it on- sets the mood- something fun & upbeat or sweet & meaningful.

I want nothing more than to enjoy this Easter Break with my 3 littles, but I also have SO much to do around here. I’ve gotten myself in way over my head with the number of projects I have started (and not finished)! Setting up a craft to do together is such a nice, easy, and natural way to sit and connect as a family.
