Where to Hang Lighted Christmas Garland

Lighted garland hung between main living spaces instantly gives your whole home the ultimate Christmas feel!  If there aren’t archways or doorways between rooms you can attach it across the ceiling and down the walls anywhere you choose.  Some other ideas of where to hang lighted garland:  Along the top & sides of a TV niche, around the entryway opening to the house, along the opening to any hallway or doorway.  You can use this high-impact indoor Christmas Decor with any floorplan!!

If you are still trying to figure out where you could hang your garland- here are some ideas to figure out where it would look best in you home.  Go to different vantage points- places that you that you would appreciate the decor.  These vantage points may be- on the couch, the entryway, the kitchen sink…

Then look around at where it would frame anything from that vantage point.  Our main vantage point is our entry.  So every time we walk in, we get filled with warm & fuzzy Christmas vibes!

How to hang Christmas Garland in Minutes

Keep in mind that the first year you will need to assemble the garland, but every year after that it goes up in about 2 seconds!  Just don’t un-attach the lights, filler, or any of the attached Rochester garland pieces from one another when you put it into storage.  Then when you pull it out next year, you literally just place it from the box onto the wall.  This year I had our garland ALL hung and the Christmas tree up by the time my hubby got back from a grocery run!

What if you are tight on space?

Inside or outside of a window is another great option for your Christmas tree.  You get double bang for your space because you get both indoor and outdoor Christmas tree views out of 1 tree.

This year I added a Christmas tree in front of the window on our patio.  Even though it is outside, it adds to our indoor Christmas decorations because you can see it through the window from everywhere inside.  It also creates depth, making our house seem bigger.

Plus our patio Christmas tree fills our outdoor living space with Christmas magic!

Where should a Christmas tree be placed in the house?

Stumped on where to place the Christmas tree in your home?  Look from your favorite vantage points (Entering your home, On the couch, At the kitchen sink or island).  Is there a place where you could see the tree from all of those places?

Our Christmas Tree is the first thing you see when you open our front door- which I love!  It is also visible from our kitchen table, couch, pretty much everywhere in our open floorplan.
